1. Who can participate in our Active Health Lab services?

Our Active Health Lab services are for the general public, not restricted to Singaporeans or Permanent Residents (PR). Currently, anyone of age 18 (as of birth date) and above are welcomed to enjoy our services. Our recommended health parameters and habits, and assessment equipment are calibrated for this age group and above.

The Active Health Lab is working towards catering other targeted groups such as the youth, Mandarin- and Malay-speaking individuals.

Women who are expecting or pregnant, individuals with pacemakers or with metal implants can attend the Team Fitness and Health Assessment session but will not be able to do the body composition analysis.

2. Is it a Health Screening?

No. Active Health Fitness and Health Assessment is not a health screening. Our Active Health Expert will explain and educate participants on the indications of their measurements and how they can improve on their lifestyle through the adoption of Active Health healthy habits.

3. Do you conduct blood test or bone density test during Fitness and Health Assessment?

There are no blood tests conducted in the Team Fitness and Health Assessment. Simple body measurements such as blood pressure, waist circumference and body composition will be conducted. On top of Body Mass Index (BMI), the Bioelectrical Impedance Analysis (BIA) machine measures your muscle mass and body fat.

4. Are there exercises conducted during Fitness and Health Assessment?

There are no exercises or fitness assessments involved in the Team Fitness and Health Assessment. After the Team Fitness and Health Assessment session, participants will be informed through email to sign up for separate appointments such as Expert-led (Physical Activity) Clinics and Workshops.

5. Who will be conducting the sessions at the Active Health Lab?

Our multi-disciplinary team of Active Health Experts, consisting of exercise physiologists and scientists, will be assisting our participants for the sessions. There are no medical personnel at our Active Health Labs.

6. What should participants prepare for the session?

For smartphone users, participants are encouraged to download the ‘Active Health’ app in Play store (Android) or App store (iPhone) before the session to ensure a smooth running of the Learning Journey.

For those without a smartphone, not to worry. There will be forms to fill for the onboarding session.

7. Can I register for more than one session per application?

Each participant to attend only 1 session. However, corporate representatives can apply multiple sessions for their organisation. Kindly email us at sport_active_health@sport.gov.sg to book multiple sessions for your organisation.

8. What should participants bring to the session?

A smartphone and their best self!

9. Due to unforeseen circumstances, can I cancel my booking after registration?

To cancel your booking, kindly email us at least 2 weeks before the scheduled session.

10. How long is the duration per session?

The total duration of the whole session will be 2.5 hours.

11. Can Game On! @ Work be conducted in our premises?

Game On! @ Work is only offered at our Active Health Labs as our full range of equipment and accessories are available within the Labs. Also, having the sessions conducted at our Labs can help foster, better affiliation with Active Health Labs and Sport Centres and “up close and personal” understanding of Active Health and ActiveSG ecosystem. You may select any of our seven Active Health Labs as your preferred venue for your “Game On! @ Work” session, depending on the number of persons you are registering for.

12. Where are the sessions conducted at?

Sessions are conducted at Active Health Labs located around Singapore based on the workshop chosen.
